The Soul
Wherein kneels the Soul?
Behind the eye?
Behind the ear?
From where stir
Its tremors of love ~
From a softened heart
Or behind a tear?
From wherever it sings
However it yearns,
Let it saturate me with joy,
Unafraid and unbound
I ask, simply
Help me onward
To be awake
To be in love
In its peaceful
Sacred sound

Oh! Stunningly beautiful prayer. Thank you.
Thank you Simon. It is always such a pleasure to hear from you.
How lovely. Both your poem and image are imbued with a wonderful sense of intimacy and reverence. I feel grateful to share this prayer with you.
Thank you Souldoula. Perhaps prayer is the most intimate form of love, since the reverence it requires is the surest way to connect us to its source. James.

Thank you Wendell. I’m so glad to have shared it with you. Warmest wishes, James.
James, I agree with your earlier comment. There is nothing quite so intimate as prayer. And any intimacy is made sweeter when it is with divine reverence for love and the maker of LOVE. I love this…….. Truly beautiful. ~ Love, Bobbie
