Homeward

On this side of the door lies opportunity, growth. Billions of souls scurrying about, learning of loneliness, pride; experiencing isolation, jealousy, HUMILITY and joy, slowly realizing the immutable law of love. Time expands in these shadows, all we once understood IS clouded; held in the frailty of human living. All slows down to A lesser pace, freeing us to make each connection anew, creating ownership of each delicate idea. Beyond the doorway, in a small, QUIET, unassuming way is embossed the word “Entrance”. It is inescapable. Homeward, I will step under its arch again. Will I do so with a mind full of regret or a heart full of LOVE? That is all I have to decide.

You made a good point. Have you ever involved in sufism? I’d recommend.
Like many in the West, I have often enjoyed the poetry of Rumi and Hafiz, and many others besides, but I have a particular interest in the mystical writings of Hazrat Inayat Khan, a great and devout sufi. Of course, the perennial wisdom speaks through all vehicles able to embody its principles.

When we return Home, what will we have in our bags – what would we have accumulated?
Peace, Eric
Exactly! Thank you Eric.
if i may, you have no need for regret. i have regretted most of my life away only to find that we are just doing what we need to do even though sometimes it turns out different than we we expect. only by doing do we come to knowing and only by knowing can we find our way home again. at the very least this way of thinking has given me some measure of peace.
Perhaps I should have used the word “remorse” – it captures the feeling of things being left undone that might have otherwise been learnt of more deeply. Thank you Zorra! James.
An exciting reminder that all of us will go home again one day, to be free and happy with all our loved ones. Thank you, James. Christa
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts James, another great post.
Thank you Athena!
This is beautiful, James. There is no regret to living, to loving, to allowing the light to become us. ~ Ever, Bobbie
Thank you Bobbie… perhaps that is the ultimate prize – to be able to look back at life without regret, only love. James.
True…….. You and I both know, regret tends to be for what we didn’t do rather than what we did. Regardless my days, I will not regret love. ~ B
Oh James! I haven’t been here in a while and what a gorgeous site that greeted me! But better yet, the amazing photography and the writings that just flooded my soul with light and depth. Wow. Where have I been all this time?!!! My loss. You can be sure I’ll be back for more and if I ever miss even one post, you just come by and let me know, promise!!! Thank you so much. It’s a pleasure viewing your fine work. Sharon
Dear Sharon… thank you for your kind words of encouragement. You made my day! James.
